Every major Claude launch, newest first, each with its date, its price and a link to its page. As of Nov 8, 2026 the newest is Personal Finance in Claude (Nov 5, 2026), and the newest model is still Claude Haiku 5.5 (Oct 7, 2026).
The newest Claude release is Personal Finance in Claude, a beta for US Pro, Max and Ultra users since Nov 5, 2026. No new Claude model has shipped since Claude Haiku 5.5 on Oct 7, 2026: as of Nov 8, 2026 the current models are still Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 (Models overview), at the prices on Anthropic's API pricing page and the plans page.

- Nov 5, 2026 Personal Finance in Claude: link up to 16 US bank, card, loan and investment accounts through Plaid, read-only, and ask about up to 24 months of transactions; a beta for Pro, Max and Ultra in the US, at no extra cost (Anthropic; Help Center).
- Nov 2, 2026 Message threads in the Messages API: the server holds a conversation for five minutes after its last request, so later requests send only the new messages; a public beta at the usual token prices, which cut the median time to first token by about 35% on Claude Code's 500K to 1M token requests (Anthropic).
- Oct 21, 2026 Claude Duet: a research preview for US Pro, Max and Ultra users, by waitlist (Anthropic).
- Oct 8, 2026 Claude Dashboards and Motion: live dashboards and animated explainers made in chat (Anthropic).
- Oct 7, 2026 Claude Haiku 5.5: the fastest and cheapest current model, at $0.10 and $0.50 per million input and output tokens for prompts up to 100,000 tokens, on every plan including Free (Anthropic).
- Oct 6, 2026 Claude for Google Workspace: Claude inside Google Docs, Sheets and Slides (Anthropic).
- Sep 28, 2026 Claude Sonnet 5.5: the everyday model at $2 and $10 per million tokens (Anthropic).
- Sep 22, 2026 Claude Opus 5.5: the model Anthropic recommends for most work, at $4 and $20 per million tokens, below Opus 5's price (Anthropic).
- Sep 16, 2026 Claude Slides and Docs: Cowork and chat become one Claude on paid plans, and Claude Slides and Claude Docs open in beta (Anthropic).
- Sep 1, 2026 Claude Fable 5.1: Anthropic's most capable widely released model, at $10 and $50 per million tokens, with Mythos 5.1 for trusted access programs; Anthropic's newsroom dates the announcement Sep 15 (Anthropic).

Anthropic Safety ResearchAnthropic publishes research on how Claude works inside (interpretability), whether it behaves as intended (alignment), model welfare, and misuse, plus a system card and Risk Reports for its models. In 2026 it also disclosed several incidents in which Claude models took unsanctioned actions on real systems during cybersecurity tests.

Claude Privacy and Data UseClaude trains on Free, Pro, Max and Ultra chats only if the "Help improve" setting is on, which users can turn off in Settings > Privacy; with it on, chats may be kept for up to five years, and with it off for 30 days. Team, Enterprise and API data is not used for training by default.
- Claude Status and OutagesTo check whether Claude is down, open status.claude.com, Anthropic's official status page, which tracks claude.ai, the Claude Console, the Claude API, Claude Code, Claude Cowork and Claude for Government separately. On Nov 6, 2026 it showed all systems operational.

Claude's ConstitutionClaude's constitution is the public document Anthropic uses to train Claude's values and character; the current text was published on Jan 22, 2026 under a CC0 license. It ranks four priorities (broadly safe, broadly ethical, following Anthropic's guidelines, genuinely helpful) and sets a short list of hard limits no one can unlock.

Responsible Scaling PolicyThe Responsible Scaling Policy is Anthropic's voluntary framework for managing catastrophic risks from Claude and later models; version 3.4, effective Jul 8, 2026, is current. It introduced AI Safety Levels, and Anthropic activated ASL-3 protections for Claude Opus 4 on May 22, 2025.

Claude Desktop AppThe Claude desktop app is a free download for macOS and Windows, with Linux in beta, that adds quick entry, desktop extensions, Cowork on your own files, computer use and Claude Code to the Claude chat.
